Hofner 63 Colorama in LA area for $325 - Modified but nice

This Colorama has obviously been modified with Dimarzio pickups - however if you put nickel covers on these humbuckers you could regain most of the vintage appeal of this guitar. Colorama's are rare in the United States - mostly found in England and Europe - so you'll be the only indie kid on the block with one - and it'll sound like a Les Paul with those DiMarzio's in there.

ELECTRIC GUITAR ....Hofner 1963 "colorama".....this baby has a rock hard maple neck, with less than could be expected wear. its got a real pretty red/ black burst, which is how i got it back in 1975. (so was it a refin. i don't know). it plays real sweet, though i did have new Dimarzio p.u.'s put in that year so they are true "vintage" dimarzio's,( but i did have all those mini switches removed as they were quite noisy)! it does however have that unique hofner through body tremelo, and plate which has no pitting at all on it as you can see!!!! and that is all original! its in marina del rey area...we're asking $325.00 obo...(and i'll toss in a gig bag with the deal)...call jack @(310)397 7126 ..and lets make a deal, (she needs a new home)

Location: marina del rey
