Sears Silvertone 10XL in Atlanta for $90

These 10XL's were just about the last of the Danelectro small Tube amps - 12AX7's in the preamp and they use a single ended 7189 [power tube (not the more difficult to find 7189A). Sounds like this one is just about all done with new caps and three prong cord, etc. Sweet deal.

This is a 1971 Sears Silvertone 10XL tube amp. It was made by Danelectro for Sears. It comes with two 12ax7, one 7189, one 6x4 tube. It has an 8 inch Oxford 4 ohm Alnico speaker just like the vintage Fender vibrochamps. It is a project I have gotten it to about 90%, you can finish it up. I have two different replacements for the tattered grill cloth, they come with it. Tubes are all Silvertone originals.
I have replaced the AC cord, power switch, filter capacitors and a few resistors and small caps.
Jacks and pots have been cleaned with deoxit. Amp works and sounds loud and clear up to about 4 on the dial, then gets rougher sounding, Tremelo works partially. Controls are volume, tone, tremelo speed and depth. This was Danelectros competition to the Fender Vibro Champ. It is about 10 watts output.
Schematic and old parts are included. Here is some more info on it: http://www.silvertoneworld.net/amplifiers/1421/1421.html
